Strange Fire: The Danger of Offending the Holy Spirit with Counterfeit Worship

Strange Fire: The Danger of Offending the Holy Spirit with Counterfeit Worship

A few weeks ago when I started to read this book was excited because I heard much talk about the issue, now that already finished reading it I have to say that I'm not wrong. Turned out to be an excellent book, well written, well documented and with lots of interesting information .The central theme of the book creates much controversy but we have to accept that the problem exists and every day we see this strange fire which  pastor John MacArthur speaks about.
MacArthur make and analysis the topic of the book is the Holy Spirit and how now days we can find church’s teaching unbiblical doctrines of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The book concentrates specifically on the ministry of the Holy Spirit in two main ways; One, How the Holy Spirit is mispresented in sectors of Christianity today, and Two, What the true ministry of the Holy Spirit is according to Scripture.

Strange Fire is a great book. It is probably going to be the book of this year 2013 and maybe years to come. I was so excited about this book I could not put it down. It’s a must read for Christians looking to learn for the real Biblical teaching. This is how the book start;
What would God say about those who blatantly misrepresent His Holy Spirit? Who exchange true worship for chaotic fits of mindless ecstasy? Who replace the biblical gospel with vain illusions of health and wealth? Who claim to prophesy in His name yet speak errors; and who sell false hope to desperate people for millions of dollars?
You have an idea how interested the book is. Definitely I will recommend this book to all Christians and the church in general. Five Stars on my list.

John MacArthur is the pastor,teacher of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California, as well as an author, conference speaker, president of The Master’s College and Seminary, and featured teacher with the Grace to You media ministry.
